Peter O’Doherty commended in Christopher Allen’s review of In Suburbia: Recent Detours

April 30, 2025

Christopher Allen, art critic for the Australian, reviewed the National Trust’s exhibition ‘In Suburbia: Recent Detours’, which is open until May 4, 2025:
“There are blocks of flats, the best images of which belong to the familiar pictorial world of Peter O’Doherty, but mostly small self-contained, bungalows.”

S.H. Ervin Gallery’s current exhibition ‘In Suburbia: Recent Detours‘ was curated by Gavin Wilson.  The exhibition features the work of 19 contemporary artists from across the country who probe, celebrate and question the notion of the great Australian dream. Peter O’Doherty will have 5 works in the exhibition, and it is on until May 4, 2025.

Where: S.H. Ervin Gallery, 2 Watson Rd Millers Point, Sydney.
