King Street Gallery on William welcomes Genevieve Carroll. Genevieve was born in 1960 and graduated from the National Art School with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in 2004. She was the recipient of the Tim Storrier and Annette Onslow Cite International des Arts Paris Residency in 2007.
Genevieve exhibited works at Orange Regional Art Gallery in a solo show, ‘The Wattle Room Chapter 11 oysters and buttered bread’, from 2 February till the 2 April, 2024. She will also have a solo exhibition at King Street Gallery in July 2024.
Genevieve’s works were exhibited in a group exhibition, ‘Aliferous: Having Wings’, at King Street Gallery during September 2023, with Angela Malone and David Pearce. She also exhibited in a group show West of Central, at Bathurst Regional Art Gallery in 2023.
She was awarded the Bathurst Regional Art Gallery Portraiture Prize in 2010, the Cowra Regional Art Gallery Award in 2012 and the Central West Regional Artists Award in 2014. Her work is held by the Australian National Library, Canberra and the Bathurst Regional Art Gallery, Bathurst.
