For the first time, Bathurst Regional Art Gallery, Cowra Regional Art Gallery and Orange Regional Gallery are sharing the richness of their collections to create three unique exhibitions, each with a different thematic approach: Grounding, Retrospection, and Affinities.
Presenting familiar and unfamiliar works in new contexts, each exhibition sparks fresh conversations, fosters community pride within the Central West, and strengthens cultural tourism across the three destinations.
Affinities: Stories from Three Collections at Orange Regional Art Gallery draws together artworks and artists who are linked in various ways. The exhibition reveals connections between stylistic tendencies, favoured genres, and familial and personal associations. Includes work by Olive Cotton, Elisabeth Cummings, Idris Murphy, Ian Fairweather, Honor Freeman, Nora Heysen, Emily Kngwarreye, Ben Quilty, Lloyd Rees, Grace Cossington Smith, Fred Williams, Anne Zahalka and more….
Exhibition Dates:6 November 2026 – 7 March, 2027
Orange Regional Gallery: 149 Byng Street, Orange, NSW 2800
