A bird without a bough, a word without a page…. imagine; a life without birdsong to affirm the world and our humble place in it.
This book is an echo of what we do as artists, a call and a response. This collaboration has brought with it both confirmation and clarification…& in the end, this book.
All things, including the boughs of the trees in your neighbourhood have stories about the birds in our lives – these are our. We have not heard everything but we’re getting better at listening.
imagine a bough is dedicated to Edward Lear because birds, apart from being birds, like any good friend can also be quirky and funny and intelligent.
As birds take to flight, they ground us! They fly to survive, we imagine to survive….in these pages are some of our imaginings.
