King Street Gallery on William

Myfanwy Gullifer | Artist talk and informal tour of ‘And Then The Sun Came Out’, September 20 from 11:30am

September 5, 2025
On Saturday SEPTEMBER 20 from 11:30am, please join us at King Street Gallery on William for an informal exhibition tour and talk with ceramicist Myfanwy Gullifer.

KSGoW would like to invite you to walk with Myfanwy Gullifer through her current exhibition And Then The Sun Came Out on Saturday September 20, for an informal artist talk. Please join us at the gallery from 11:30am for an informal exhibition talk and tour through her show.

Trained in the dramatic arts, she began making sculpture after working in the theatre. Myfanwy has been exhibiting for close to twenty years, both within Australia and internationally.
Self-taught, she works with clay, textiles, and paper to make ceramic sculptures and large scale installations.
Myfanwy’s work explores memory and the imagination, the sensual and sexual life of the body, domesticity, motherhood, exuberance and disappointment, anger and love.

“There is a joy in the making of things. The connection that the hand has to the material that somehow connects to the imagination, emotion and memory. I draw from what is around me, the day to day, visual cues, things that pique my curiosity, give me a thrill or squeeze my soul. There is always somewhere to explore in my head and my heart, it makes sense of who I am. And then Sun Came Out is a continuation of that exploration of finding more of me, of striding out, feeling free, stronger, walking my walk”
– Myfanwy Gullifer, 2025

King Street Gallery has represented Myfanwy since 2012. Myf’s 2025 solo exhibition ‘And Then The Sun Came Out’, showcases a new series of porcelain works and soft sculptures. On display until September 20.
Please email us at art@kingstreetgallery.com for any enquiries.
