The work was acquired by AGNSW following her survey exhibition Spellbound, which was on display from May 25 to August 11, 2024. The painting was purchased with funds from the Patrick White Bequest 2024.
Spellbound offers a sumptuous journey into the nature of creativity. It featured a large immersive exhibition, a ‘behind the scenes’ recreation of part of Wendy’s studio as well as drawings, sketchbooks, ceramics, paintings and site-specific wall murals.
