We’re pleased to share that the next touring venue to exhibit Lustre: Contemporary Artists in Greece & Crete, is the Rocky Hill War Memorial and Museum, Goulburn, NSW. The exhibition will open on the evening of Thursday October 15.

Lustre: features four KSGoW artists: Joanna LOGUE, Alan Daniel JONES, Amanda PENROSE HART and Euan MACLEOD, who travelled in the company of Riste Andrievski, Angeliki Androutsopoulos, Michael Bradfield, Deirdre Bean, Michelle Hiscock, Steve Lopes, Natalie Leontaris O’Connor and Rodney Pople to Greece and Crete, in 2025.

In response to visiting various sites of remembrance and historical or battle-related significance, pertaining to the Allied withdrawal from Greece and Crete in 1942 (known as Operation Lustre), the artists and photographers (accompanied by senior historian and curator, Brad Manera and art critic and historian, Christopher Allen), developed a series of works populating the exhibition Lustre: Contemporary Artists in Greece and Crete. The exhibitions are touring until 2027. Each exhibition venue presents a different selection of paintings and works on paper, as well as a fabulous photography and featured Bollex film by Riste Andrievski, photography by Michael Bradfield and accompanying catalogue essays by Brad Manera and Christopher Allen. Thank you to Rocky Hill War Memorial and Museum, Justin Croft and his team for their generous hosting of this exhibition until march 2027.

About Rocky Hill War Memorial and Museum:
The Rocky Hill War Memorial Museum was established in 1927 and is located on a spectacular rocky outcrop overlooking the inland City of Goulburn, New South Wales, Australia. The Memorial Museum and Tower is managed by the Goulburn Mulwaree Council, who respectfully acknowledges the First Peoples of the land on which we work. We honour their Ancestors, Elders and Communities. Council also acknowledges and pays respect to Elders and Communities, both past and present, of all First Nations of Australia.

The Museum is widely celebrated as a moving cultural heritage experience, dedicated to commemorating Goulburn’s and Australia’s experiences of war at home, and of the men and women and animals who have served Australia in conflict from the mid-1800s to the present day.
