Genevieve CARROLL | Drawing Workshop at the CORRIDOR Project

August 16, 2025

Genevieve Carroll recently lead a drawing workshop with her partner and artist Bill Moseley at the CORRIDOR project (located at 2997 Darbys Falls Rd, Wyangala, NSW.)
The workshop focussed on the technique of EXQUISITE CORPSE (a 1920’s process used by the surrealist artists, that was often collaborative in nature. Evolved from a game in which participants add to a drawing, collage, or poem on a folded sheet of paper without seeing previous contributions.) In such, the work is commenced and then added to by following artists without them having seen the work of the artist before them.
Genevieve and Bill were invited to lead two workshops, one on experimental drawing and another on tintype photography for ERTHWKS, with the theme Endangered birds. Workshop notes Influenced by 1960’s pop artist – Claes Oldenburg, Genevieve and Bill welcomed the attendants to an invigorating one day immersive workshop learning about endangered bird species of the Central West NSW.

Genevieve’s comments:

“This weekend brought together inspiring guest speakers on science, the environment, film and art all in an extraordinary landscape. Thank you to all the students who came together to learn new techniques and create our wonderful theatre of drawing, wow what a wonderful result!”
