KSGoW Welcomes: Jackson Taylor

January 6, 2026

KSGoW is pleased to announce the representation of Jackson TAYLOR (b. 2000, Figtree NSW), a faux-naïve figurative painter currently living and working in Canberra, ACT.
Jackson’s work explores the shared everyday experiences that connect people. Through faux-naive figurative painting, he takes a personal approach to quiet, routine moments of daily life—mundane rituals such as sharing meals or taking out the bins. By focusing on these familiar scenes, he seeks to transform representations of the everyday into opportunities for reflection on contemporary life, shared experience, and connection through conversation.

His paintings are characterised by distorted proportions, bold colour choices, and playful stylistic elements including stacked space, exaggerated eyes, and naïve hands. Elongated limbs and looming vistas punctuate these pockets of time, offering a consideration of shared memory. These recurring visual markers give each work a distinct character while maintaining a recognisable continuity, inviting viewers to find familiarity across his practice.

His work features in the Macquarie Bank Collection, Goulburn Regional Art Gallery (@goulburnregionalartgallery), and the collection of Peter Jones & Susan Taylor, ACT. He was nominated the Outstanding Graduate by Goulburn Regional Gallery at the School of Art and Design ANU (SOAD) grad show, & won the people’s choice award for the 2024 ANU Drawing Prize.
He’s exhibited at the M16 Art Space Canberra @m16artspace, Civic Art Bureau @civic_art_bureau, the SOAD Gallery @anuartdesign, and Goulburn Regional among others.

His representation with KSGoW commenced this year, & his first exhibition is scheduled for 2026. To join his mailing list, please contact us via art@kingstreetgallery.com
