This year will be remembered for many things, not least the inordinate amount of time we spent indoors, unable to see friends, family members or colleagues. Yet for artist John Bokor, who works from a studio beneath his house in Bulli, south of Sydney, lockdown only sharpened his eye as to the pictorial potential of the spaces and objects we found ourselves scrutinising at all hours: bright, busy, lived-in lounge rooms, and dining tables loaded with plates, dishes, cups, flowers and books.
