Travelling is a key aspect to the practice of Amanda Penrose Hart, who paints that which surrounds her. Penrose Hart is constantly looking and exploring a variety of landscapes, from the bushy outback around her rural studio in Sofala NSW to the craggy coastline of Sydney’s Northern Beaches. it is this area that has inspired the subject matter of her most recent body of work on exhibition at the manly Art Gallery & museum and King street Gallery on William – ‘manly: somewhere on the Australian Coast’.
